Good call on the commentaries - really quite interesting, if not very useful

As for what I'm doing well I'm afriad it's the super obvious - Blood Feast. I know, it's been done a million times - I'm talking about it in regard to the way it was promoted/marketed through time (originally, video, dvd, blah blah blah). We have to do a research portfolio project about any film and how it sells itself on spectacle. Was thinking of doing Curse of Frankenstein - first UK horror in colour, but I talked about that not too long ago. 'First' gore film it is then, I guess.

Well, well, well, you learn something new every day, don't ya. Upon my quest for finding all things Blood Feast, I found this baby - the novelisation of the film! I didn't even know it exsisted! It's written by HGL himself and is pretty damn rare, I guess. You can pick it up from Amazon brand new for £90 + But forget that! I just ordered it used for £2ish.

Here's the amazon link - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Blood-Feast...0637124&sr=1-3

And if anyone's interested this link has a whole load of horror films that have been novelised (including pictures of the book's covers) - excellent stuff!

My memory is all shot to hell usually after a few weeks, but I believe it was the Blood Feast novel that HGL briefly talked about and showed in The Godfather Of Gore documentary (I'm probably wrong!).

Oooh really? Awesome! What's that documentary like, Stephen? Hopefully Something Weird will release it soon.

The Doc is fantastic and very funny. I'll be picking it up too when it gets released.

Default 150 Movies You Should Die Before You See

Picked up the worst 'film book' I have ever read this week. Its called '150 Movies You Should Die Before You See', and I think it got published about 2 weeks ago.

It really is a shocker. I picked it up primarily due to the great title, and thought it would be full of some really awful exerpts of film history. To my astonishment it contains some of my favourite movies of all time - all written off by the author as 'awful movies'

I give you...

Deep Red !
Suspiria !
Cemetery Man !
Braindead !
Bad Taste !
Re-Animator !

...and that's only a few.

Here's the book
