I installed on a usb stick and all went well.
When you click 'power off' and it says 'create save' click on 'file' and choose where to put it, one thing is that it searches the drives for space, maybe your usb is seen as too full, I tried a 1 gig stick with just puppy on and worked okay, but if yours has other files move them off, the guy that created puppy says 512meg to 1gig free space to create save file.

Just installed lucid puppy on a usb stick with universal usb installer and everything seems to be going fine now.
I can save, puppy runs fine as well.

Didn't try Saluki yet (I had trouble saving with Saluki only).

I made a 216 mb save file I think, maybe better to go for the 512 then?

Cool, if you like it maybe get a 4-8 gig stick, I use a 4gig stick with a 1.5gig save file, works fine so far.

Thanks for the help.
Btw I was wondering (when using the latest Lucid Puppy)...if I install a browser and flashplayer from the package manager or menu will I be able to watch flash videos or do I need to do more?

I'm thinking of trying out Chromium...or maybe Firefox...never used Seamonkey...

Try seamonkey first(less hassle) when adding programs linux will install and tell you if it will work okay, the 'the following files are missing' message means no in my experience, but for a free distro of an o.s. can't really moan.

As linux won't load my nokia mobile modem I can't help on browsers, but let us know how you get on,

Well none of the Puppies wanted to install on his Lenovo laptop...the install kept hanging when "searching for Puppy files" came up...

So installed CrunchBang which worked fine (it even has flash already installed).

However I can't find a way to save settings when working from a live dvd (multisession)?
The laptop won't load a usb version btw.

Does it require an install on the hard drive to save settings?

I may be wrong, but I don't think CrashBang saves settings/sessions off dvd, could be that the save file is only on a hdd install(don't quote me tho, ha ha) if no message pops up on 'power off' to create save it might be a setting you have to activate manually is the only other path I can think of.

My father deleted 800 personal photos off his computer anyone know a free program to get them back. I spent about two hours getting everything back and when i pressed recover on a so called free program they asked me for €49.99. These pictures are very important to him his parents who are not with us anymore are in a good few of the pics. Any help would be much much appreciated.
