Arrived yesterday. No sign of the screen archives order shipped on the 12th. As soon as I start worrying then the things usually arrive so hopefully soon.

I put in an order for Grizzly over a month ago, and it only just arrived. It said it arrived in the country 2 and a half weeks ago, but when it finally arrived on my door step two weeks late, it had customs stickers from Germany on it.

I emailed them literally an hour before it arrived, and then sent one saying it arrived with German stickers, and here's what they said:

"We have been having a lot of problems with mail to Australia and the UK
being routed differently and delaying delivery times. This has to do with
the postal system directly and we have no control over it but we do hope
that they get it together as this has caused a lot of issues the last few
months."

So I'd sit tight for about a month after shipping maybe, that's how long it took me from SAE. Not impressed, especially after stellar prior shipping, but at least it arrived.

Thanks for the info. Its a bit odd, Diabolik orders arrive way quicker. As you said, because of the premium on postage its a bit of a wait!

I've complained in the past about Diabolik's and SAE's postage prices, which to Australia aren't exactly cheap.

However, Diabolik has amazing service, where as SAE has now proven their postage to be a bit unreliable. The supplied tracking number only works through their website, and says it arrived in Australia on the 2nd of October when it clearly didn't, as they admitted themselves in the email....

This is a great film and I'm happy to see it out on home video! I saw this at a film festival in Sheffield years and years ago and found it to be very chilling.

Ah, I see my Idiosyncrasies aren't know to everyone here yet. Prepare to be astounded! [emoji38] I hate (with a passion) UK covers with both UK & Irish ratings logos on them. No need for 6 logos plastered all over the covers as far as I'm concerned, coupled with my preference for original poster artwork to be used on blu-rays & dvd's (even if it is the Japanese theatrical poster), and there was only one choice for me with The Hard Way. [emoji16]

Whoa! So we're not in PQ, AQ or extras territory here? Purely packaging presentation? Good for you, set a standard and insist on it :)

Have some reward points converted into store credit with HMV (because stuff using them in competitions.) and bought myself this one...

Not bought yet but I will definitely be swinging by HMV to pick up 'Splatter University' tomorrow. I am tempted by 'SS Experiment Camp' too against my better judgement. For me, the whole Nazisploitation thing is ripe for the High Rising treatment since I don't think the subject has been covered before ... finding those who were involved and are prepared to contribute might be a different matter though!!

DaveH 26th October 2015 06:11 AM

The Exorcist Anthology (RB Blu). Probably the worst packaging on Blu-ray that I own. Very flimsy digipack with the 6 discs housed in slots (well they would have been were they all not loose when it arrived). This deserved a way better release as it looks cheap, even the old UK DVD is far superior to the Blu.

Also received in past few weeks
The Exterminator 2 (Japan Blu)
Turkey Shoot (Blu)
Runaway (Blu)
Tremors Attack Pack (Blu)
Dark Matter season 1 (DVD) I really enjoyed this sci-fi show, looking forward to season 2

I've been wanting to upgrade my tremors dvds, any chance if you know yet if the Blu's are worth the upgrade mate? :)

Not had a chance to watch any of them yet, but other reviews have the attack packs Part 1 is nothing special but the best version available, the others appear to be standard to good quality. I picked it up from all your music as it was fairly cheap at the time.

Managed to get the other 88 films Blu that i wanted in the Fopp sale for £6.

The original art is great but this new cover/DVD art is about as ugly as it gets. I reversed the sleeve. :)

It was as if they were going with an Australian Wolf Creek type vibe to the cover for some reason, but it's a work of art compared to the new art for the Doctor Mordrid dvd....

What is going through the minds of the people that decide on artwork like these.

J Harker 26th October 2015 09:53 PM

Goodness knows. Its beyond me that Final Cut, the label responsible for the both the older dvd and this new blu can decide to use such crap art.

That is bad. The new art for T Trap isn't the wrost quality, i just feel it doesn't do much for the conent of the film. it's still a great release and for £6 i ain't moaning. :)
