Oliver Stone's The Doors arrived this morning. I'll be watching it soon. Great film with a career best performance from Val Kilmer.

Awesome. The best I've seen of Val Kilmer was as Doc Holiday in TOMBSTONE, a very charismatic performance! But then again Dennis Quaid also gave a brilliant performance of Doc Holiday in Kasdan's WYATT EARP so it seems to be a role that brings out the best in actors. As for THE DOORS, I haven't seen it but should do as I'm a fan of Stone and Kilmer.

I got WHISPER OF THE HEART through the door yesterday, a few days ahead of the official release date from HMV. Good stuff. Although Moviemail are taking longer with ARRIETTY!

My personal favourite portrayal of Doc Holliday is from Stacey Keach in Doc. Amazing film.

Moviemail tend to be a little slow at getting items despatched, I ordered Maniac Cop a couple of weeks ago and only got the despatch email yesterday.

If it's any consolation, I ordered Arrietty from Zavvi and they still haven't posted it out yet

I think I'll pick up Whisper of the Heart in store at HMV though as I have a voucher to use up.

I do love these Studio Ghibli Blu-rays

Only 2 purchases this weekend - the ace French drama Time Out from Fopp, and Polanski's The Ghost Blu Ray for an online-beating 6 quid in the hmv sale . . .

I also got an online beating price at HMV today, Kill Bill 1 & 2 Blu-ray boxset for £12. Been waiting to get these at a reasonable price and they're in a much smarter looking black box than the box they were in before.

Also got Freejack in CEX for 75p, never heard of it before but after watching the incredible Screamers I've been in the mood to check out some more Sci-fi

Ooh, that's tempting. What's the box like? Is it this one:

I think I'm still going to hold out until The Whole Bloody Affair is released.

That's exactly the one

I've been waiting for The Whole Bloody Affair too but at £12 I couldn't go wrong. Been ages since I've watched them so looking forward to seeing them in HD
