Today's deliveries .

TYTDReviews 1st September 2018 01:41 PM

Most recently I had a parcel turn up at my house that I had no idea about. I opened it to find VHS copies of "Bill and Teds Bogus Journey" and "Revenge of the Mysterons from mars" inside it...it appears that I'd gotten rather squiffy a week or so previously and I had just recieved a gift from drunk me...he spotted a couple of bargains that night let me tell you!

Nostalgic 1st September 2018 02:21 PM

Picked up
Quills 50p
Alone In the Dark (uwe boll) 50p
Last Cannibal World (on the Hard Gore lable, fully expecting the print to be dodgey but does anybody know about cuts to this one? Is this the same as Jungle Holocaust? Had the r1 dvd years ago but got rid! Should have kept it!)
Robin Hood (crowe/scott version) b/r £1.50

Was unsure if i'd like the death wish remake but it's a keeper, you almost can't tell it's eli roth as it's quite ordinary for the first half but amazing once it gets going! Don't like the cover though, looks like a Bruce Willis cheapie, lol!
Enjoy! :pop2:

Thanks for the heads up Nostalgic, have debated about buying it, the trailer didn't seem to give it any justice

Apparently, when it was submitted to the BBFC for classification in July 2003, 2 minutes 46 seconds of cuts were requested. In addition to these, HardGore chose to make an additional 1 minute and 47 seconds. The current version, however, reinstates this voluntarily cut 107 seconds. Therefore, the version that you presumably have is 'only' cut by the original by 2 minutes 46 seconds, instead of the 4 minutes 37 seconds".

The BBFC site staes:

"Two compulsory cuts required for 18, one to remove scenes of animal cruelty organised or directed for the purposes of filmmaking and one to remove a scene of eroticised sexual violence in accordance with BBFC Policy, Guidelines and the Video Recordings Act 1984."

How this compares with region 1 'Jungle Holocaust', I don't know

Two arrivals that I'm going to keep (I also bought Malatesta's Carnival of Blood forgetting I had it in the American Horror Project boxset and Arrow were just too damn efficient).

I don't think I've seen either, at least that I can remember, so they are basically blind buys.

Just one purchase today, Infinity War. Best film of the year (probably the last 10 years) bar none. Say what you will about comic book movies but in 5 years time I'm probably going to have watched something like Three Billboards or Shape of Water once while Infinity War will have been played countless times, debated, and re-enacted by myself & my son! :pound:
Saving it for Friday as he starts Primary School this week & it will be a nice reward for him!

They look like fun designs which would be good when placed in a row or as a rectangular 'pop art' Warhol-style design.

Nostalgic 4th September 2018 06:38 PM

Picked up Truth or Dare in cex for £5, anybody seen it? Any good or as ordinary as the cover suggests?

JoshuaKaitlyn 4th September 2018 08:27 PM
