Season 3 is one of the best. It has the excellent Dead Man's Switch in it which co-stars Sam (Flash Gordon) Jones.

The final episode is also a cracker featuring Replicators.

Moondial's good, Justin. Is that the limited Luz? Looks like it but pics can be deceptive. If it is it's an awesome package. I haven't watched it yet though.

It is, they had the normal one for £15 and the limited one tucked away behind for £16! Looks really nice, I'm going to watch it very soon :)

For that extra pound you get a booklet and soundtrack cd.

You'd be looking at £40 from Arrow or 88.

Amazon

Iron Maiden - En Vivo - 2 Disc 'limited edition steelbox' version DVD - £5:30

I saw it on television around 2016, and I found the high speed editing to be very off-putting, so I am hoping that I enjoy it more this time around

I put off buying it because people complained about the editing. When i did buy it a couple of years ago i thought it was fantastic.

I picked up a copy of The Mummy last year. Slip case and all. The Scorpion King too.

Do they seem to have restocked their Blu's? It all went very quiet from around September onwards.

Dave Boy 17th February 2022 03:40 PM

Yeah, I have a slipcase on The Mummy as well.

I think Rock In Rio is the bad one, 'Arry's first attempt at editing. It's a bit all over the place, En Vivo isn't bad at all, I don't think I even noticed it was crazy

Dave Boy 17th February 2022 03:56 PM

I think it's DEATH ON THE ROAD you are all thinking of.
The edit is all over the place, camera moves every few seconds it seems!
I don't remember any problems with the other releases.

As regards Poundland, I have found stocks getting very small now.
Every Poundland I have been in have had very small Blu ray and DVD on the shelves. I was surprised I came across what I did today, but even then there must only have been about 10 Blu rays.
One Poundland I went in the other day had most of their stock dumped in a bin in boxes. Impossable to sort through. Maybe getting rid of stock now??

Me neither.

Rock in Rio was okay too.

They all have the same track list so it's easy to get confused

I said ta-ra to Damnation Alley at Cex this morning. I've still got £19 credit left after these purchases.

Justin101 18th February 2022 01:18 PM

How many Missions are in that MI box set?? Is it the first 4? Bargain even if it's only the first 3!

Just the first three. I already bought the new restoration of the first film last year so really only wanted the second and third film. MI:3 doesn't seem to have a UK stand alone Blu release. I have the rest from 4 onwards on Blu already.

Justin101 18th February 2022 01:24 PM

Popped into HMV when I went to buy some dinner, it’s big coat weather out there today!

Been after this one since it came out but some cheeky bugger bought the only copy before I got paid last month, they finally restocked lol

Demdike@Cult Labs 18th February 2022 01:25 PM

Certainly is big coat weather. Rainy and rather blustery is one way of looking at it.

Hope everyone gets through this storm with minimal fuss or damage.

Picked up 2 on the way home. UK dvds.

The Riddle Of The Sands
The Wolf Of Wall Street

Wasn’t sure where to put this, I haven’t bought, but is this possibly the worlds largest film collection.

I rarely buy any at the moment and I’d say I’ve around 4000, roughly what would you say you have, give or take.

My mistake!

It's not the editing, it's that bloody stupid and annoying 'split screen' effect that is used all the way through the concert!!

4000 is a really good sized collection.

I really don't know because I've never attempted to count them. I have a pile of about 450 DVDs and Blu-rays that I'm going to get rid of, and that is only a small percentage of the discs that I own.

Some people do the dry January, I done that with blu rays  - so this is my stack for February,

I found this Children of the corn on the charity shop, yesterday, for £2 can't go wrong, I remember watching the 1st one years ago and I though was boring, but I will give it another spin soon - and if is still sh*t I can always return to the charity shop

Is that the one with the lenticular sleeve? I have that one. You shouldn't be disappointed. Although i do think the third film is by far the best.

Nice purchases by the way. :woot:

A few cheapies, less than a tenner for all of them. Period DVDs from Music Magpie and films from CEX.
