I enjoyed lock stock tv adaptation of the film so let’s see if this is any good.

Just ordered Criss Cross (Eureka) from amazon. I've been toying with buying it for a while, £15.99 & the price isn't dropping. Thing is, I LOVED IT!!!
One of the best film noirs I've seen! So I really wanted to get it, price be damned!!! Burt Lancaster on top form, great fatalist plot & lots of twists. Recommended if you're a noir fan & have not seen it yet.

A Spanish blu-ray of April Fool's Day arrived yesterday. The cheeky Resen label have stolen PQ/AQ from the fairly recent US release and put it on a properly factory pressed disc. Despite a 2.0 English description on the cover, the English audio is actually lossless 5.1.

Having had a peek at the disc, image quality is excellent. I would have bought the official Australian bd had they not chosen to crop the full widescreen ratio to 16:9 (what where they thinking??). This Spanish bd is a good option for folks like me who still don't own multi-region blu-ray players.

Showing my wife this film today (unfortunately she already knows the twist). Hope she likes it. :)

Finishing off the year on a high point (or low depending on your view) I finally got a delivery from the Severin sale about a month back.

I liked the look of the Portmanteau horror doc anyway, but couldn't resist all of the other smorgasboard of schlock as the dvd's were going for $3 a piece.

Unfortunately the postage was steep but when i balanced it with the savings i thought it seemed fair enough.:ladyxmas:

Arrived yesterday

Just received Apocalypse Now Redux/regular version/Hearts of Darkness on blu from amazon, for £13 I was happy to upgrade!

Arrived today from the Classic Films Direct Sale.


I actually already have Demoniac...without a cover. Bizarrely i got it in a cheap ten pack of films from Boulevard Entertainment. The cover and disc say it's a film called Exorcism b/w 976-Evil II, however when it plays Exorcism is actually the Synapse release of Demoniac titled Exorcism with Jess Franco commentary the lot. (see screen grab below)

Bizarrely part 2 - The comedy dvd was still in my basket from the last sale, but wasn't in this current sale, it went through payment okay and i got it for £3 rather than the eight quid it's currently selling for.

Just ordered these. Not really a massive Metallica fan but I love documentaries and I've heard it's brilliant.

Some Kind of Monster is an excellent documentary. It shows a band on the verge of self-destruction, barely functional, and why the album of that name sounds the way it does.

I bought Aquaman from someone on eBay. It was the 4K Ultra HD set and arrived today containing the Aquaman and I Am Legend Blu-ray discs. I hope the seller has accidentally taken the I Am Legend BD and still has the Aquaman 4K disc!

I sent a message to ask what has gone wrong.

I also received a new (from Zoom) Mary Poppins Returns 4K set today, one which fortunately contains the right discs!

This weeks arrival.

Prepare to be confused and become and expert on Lina's 'personal' bits lol...

Yeah, it's fun but it's not a great film. However, the girl who plays Ted's daughter is amazing at doing 90's Keanu! I'll be buying it anyway :D

At the minute "fun" will do me fine.
