I really enjoy most outdoors horror / thrillers. Everything from Pig Hunt to Van Diemen's Land. They all go down well with me. I think Southern Comfort got me into the genre many years ago. |

1 Attachment(s) Just pre-ordered this for £14.95 from Zavvi Attachment 74602 Edit: And these 2 from Sainsbury's Entertainment for £8.99 & £33.99 respectively http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpghttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ngUSQx0aL.jpg |
The wife was away so i broke out my Return of the Living Dead steel book. In a year of stellar releases I can't see anything beating this in terms of comprehensiveness and value for money. For a tenner - beautifully designed steel book, beautifully designed booklet, pristine movie transfer, fantastic 2 hour doc on the movie (even the failed SFX guy who got sacked shows up - kudos to him) and loads more stuff I didn't have time to watch. Never an all time fav movie of mine - more a good laugh than anything else - but what a release. Oh for the same treatment for Creepshow, Carrie, Lifeforce or numerous other 80s greats from my Fangoria devouring heyday! |
What films have you purchased recently Film Noir Collection I saw someone had posted the link to this, looks good for the money, and has rekindle my interest in film noir,(although im a big Humphrey Bogart fan anyways) so well done who ever you were  http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iZkKFdyOL.jpg |

1 Attachment(s) As I'm watching the sequel right now, I remembered I hadn't pre-ordered this yet, £8.99 from Sainsbury's Entertainment, they seem to be the cheapest for a lot of pre-orders at the minute. Attachment 74765 |

My copy of Fernando Di Leo: The Italian Crime Collection arrived on Friday. Haven"t found the time to watch any of the films yet, but the booklet was an entertaining read. Will probably give Caliber 9 a spin later tonight. Now if only Shameless (or Arrow) could pick up some of the other Italian Crime titles for release on Blu here in the U.K. Watched Caliber 9. Excellent :) |
Was browsing ebay this morning, when i noticed some fella selling 1000 dvds in a dj case. There was a few discs shown such as synapse, impulse and blu Underground titles, the only thing was they was they didnt have no sleeves or box. Picked the lot up for £130.00 ;) No one else made a bid |

BDC, i will be picking up the lot today. I have spoken to the guy who also claims there is stuff like the lord of the rings trilogy, StarWars trilogy and Aliens boxset. That lot alone must accumalate to near enough 30 discs lol. Hopefully will stumble across a few code red movies  I will also add some pics when i get time. |

You'd think he would've started on a higher starting bid! I mean, how much of a loss has he made there  bargain of the century  . . . |
Indeed! From the 2 photos I could see a few "goodies" already, so kudos to Chuck!! |
Tales That Witness Madness As ever in anthology films, the stories ( and acting ) are variable, but it's nice to see this one again after all these years on a nice BD from Olive films. The second story is the best and the third ( bloke goes to bed with a tree ) being the worst ( amazingly enough ). Also watched this as a tribute the late Mary Tamm :( |
Mark of the Devil (BD) The Siege of Firebase Gloria (DVD) A Candle for the Devil (DVD) Retribution (DVD) http://i45.tinypic.com/sphj50.jpg |
