Just had this land on my mat, I've held off buying it until I was certain the correct intro sequence discs were the only ones in circulation

This is why they should have done an immediate bloody recall on the disc. A lot of people have held off buying it, a shame really because the corrected version looks great. With cult movies word of mouth about a release is vitally important.

This may sound like a silly question, but what does that mean?

Interesting expression – I thought out something to do with more extravagant piercings – those with holes or stones in the earlobe!

God no! I used to have my ear pierced at the top when I was younger but that's about it, I can't understand why people would want to do that sort of thing, each to their own I guess

Thats good to know. :)

I really enjoy most outdoors horror / thrillers. Everything from Pig Hunt to Van Diemen's Land. They all go down well with me.

I think Southern Comfort got me into the genre many years ago.

Visually it's rather stunning and the plot is good, very watch-able so enjoy!

The wife was away so i broke out my Return of the Living Dead steel book. In a year of stellar releases I can't see anything beating this in terms of comprehensiveness and value for money. For a tenner - beautifully designed steel book, beautifully designed booklet, pristine movie transfer, fantastic 2 hour doc on the movie (even the failed SFX guy who got sacked shows up - kudos to him) and loads more stuff I didn't have time to watch. Never an all time fav movie of mine - more a good laugh than anything else - but what a release. Oh for the same treatment for Creepshow, Carrie, Lifeforce or numerous other 80s greats from my Fangoria devouring heyday!

My copy of Fernando Di Leo: The Italian Crime Collection arrived on Friday. Haven"t found the time to watch any of the films yet, but the booklet was an entertaining read. Will probably give Caliber 9 a spin later tonight. Now if only Shameless (or Arrow) could pick up some of the other Italian Crime titles for release on Blu here in the U.K.

Watched Caliber 9. Excellent :)

Maybe you should start a thread with a list!

Slippery Jack 30th July 2012 07:58 AM

You'd think he would've started on a higher starting bid! I mean, how much of a loss has he made there  bargain of the century  . . .

Indeed! From the 2 photos I could see a few "goodies" already, so kudos to Chuck!!

Tales That Witness Madness

As ever in anthology films, the stories ( and acting ) are variable, but it's nice to see this one again after all these years on a nice BD from Olive films.

The second story is the best and the third ( bloke goes to bed with a tree ) being the worst ( amazingly enough ).

Also watched this as a tribute the late Mary Tamm :(

ReturnToZero 30th July 2012 11:52 AM

Mark of the Devil (BD)
The Siege of Firebase Gloria (DVD)
A Candle for the Devil (DVD)
