2 Attachment(s) Amazon arrivals over the last two weeks. |
1 Attachment(s) Just the one today. £5.99 from Shamazon. Underrated Arnie classic The Running Man.Attachment 248878 |
3 Attachment(s) I have been spending more money than I really should have, so these are my recent arrivals from Powerhouse Films (in the 3 for £15 offer), Amazon (Scream and Scream Again), and eBay (Ocean's 8). The latter was only £3.25, so I thought it was worth it as a blind buy. Of all the Indicator films, the only ones I've seen are the Norman J Warren ones, Sweet Charity (a superb musical romantic comedy), and The Camp on Blood Island (a tough but rewarding watch, and a surprise that I didn't already own it). I am surprised and a little ashamed that I haven't seen either of the John Carpenter films, though that will be rectified in due course. |
@ Nosferatu - I really enjoyed Oceans 8. Thought it was a refreshing change. Not saying it's a great film or anything but i liked it. |
Sent off for a bunch of Vincent Price movies. I've seen a couple of his (Last Man on Earth and Theatre of Blood, both of which I liked) but I feel I am far too unfamiliar with most of his when compared to the likes of Cushing and Lee. |

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Six-Gothic-...%2C1400&sr=1-1 I highly recommend the StudioCanal Blu-ray of Masque of the Red Death. It's a really good package and to put it bluntly the picture quality is f*cking gorgeous. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Masque-Red-...8GM9VXKZ&psc=1 |
The Oblong Box and the Aussie version of The Vincent Price Collection which has nine movies in it including Witchfinder General, Masque of the Red Death and House of Usher, among others. |

I'm going to watch Ocean's 8 without any preconceptions and hope it's as enjoyable as the first. |
I haven't watched it in years but I really liked Ocean's 11. Ocean's 12 was boring and 13...meh, ok I suppose, better than 12 by far but totally forgettable. Ocean's 8 however, dismal. I just didn't see a point to it, didn't work for me on any level. Sent from my SM-G780G using Tapatalk |
A couple of recent purchases, one of these is not like the others… https://i.ibb.co/Fxb2zw9/IMG-2619.jpg https://i.ibb.co/WWvB1nN/IMG-2620.jpg |

It could be that Magic Crystal artwork. |
I think that the poster they used doesn't lend itself to removing the text which is unfortunate. Annoyingly, it's my favourite of his vampire films and my least favourite poster. |

6 Attachment(s) Recent purchases. Had to get the US Warner Archive version of Drunken Master II as most other releases only have Hard of Hearing English subtitles. Attachment 248989 Attachment 248990 Attachment 248991 Attachment 248992 Attachment 248993 Attachment 248994 |
Who released Horror Workout, Stephen? Looks great and i've never seen it. The 88 dvd of Chainsaw Hookers didn't have it on unlike the Blu. Just need the Scream Queen Hot Tub Party on Blu now. :xmasbanana: |

I watched it on the Chainsaw Hookers blu-ray. I'm interested to see how this one looks. Three versions included. From the back of the case: Main Version (720p/60): This is the original master tape, deinterlaced, and scaled using a method that preserves how it would have originally looked when shot. • SD version (4801/60): A direct capture of the original master tape, encoded in standard definition. • Al Upscaled version (10801/60): A new upscaled version with a sharper image. |

1 Attachment(s) This week's new arrival. |
|
1 Attachment(s) Although I'm annoyed that they have only been releasing Inside No. 9 on DVD since series four and are no longer using the Blu-ray format, I bought the DVD of series five some time ago and bought series six and seven last week. It's a TV show that doesn't grow old or suffer very badly from repeated viewings. There are some episodes where I forget the twist and enjoy them as much on second viewing as on the first, and others where knowing the dénouement allows you to appreciate the quality of the writing and performing. |
