If I start to analyse films like this I'm going to be constantly adjusting TV and player output settings and paying less attention to the actual film than on the technical aspects of the transfer. If something looks obviously poor, then I'll say so. But to start analysing films frame-by-frame and studying the picture for problems - well....that's just not my scene, y'know? If I got too perfectionist about it I'd never be happy and my enjoyable hobby would turn into a curse that I don't want to be burdened with. | I see, but films who aren't supposed to have crushed blacks it's not so nice to look at for me. It's noticeable for me when i watch a film which have poor black levels, even if i didn't know it had it before or i didn't try to look for it. If you don't notice it, good for you. Not everybody notices it or have a problem with it. You at least know what it is now.
