Its usually the TV that has crushed blacks. Even if you have a perfect blu ray transfer, if the hardware aint good then you will notice flaws.

LGs TVs are great but all LGs have always had black level issues. Local dimming is something that can help improve black levels and on my set it does work great. Also gamma level at 1.9 is better as it helps preserve detail in black areas.

Creature from the black lagoon in 3D.

Not a fan of 3d, and i'm still not after this, works as well as i've ever seen 3D working so its the whole 3D in general not this. That aside its another flipping amazing transfer from universal.

Before that I watched Facination on Blu, another Rollin I find myself enjoying...i'm getting old! I'll be loving Franco's movies next!

(also picking up those Franco redemption blu's soon so its possible!)

The second pic isn't showing for me, ArrowFan. Looking at the link, it appears to be Dagon, though. I've always had a soft spot for this - an enjoyable film.

I need some guidance!!! I see two anime boxsets I'd like to buy, both the same price, but I can only get one. Paranoia Agent (which I've seen half of and loved) and Gantz (which I haven't seen). Which should I get??

Paranoia Agent. Though it's not high on my recomendations list, it's a damn site better than the terrible Gantz anime. Suffered from Hellsing syndrome it did.
