What are the Mr Vampire sequels like Mr bdc ?

Well...the second one (1986) is totally different (modern setting and a vampire family complete with child vampires),most people seem to dislike it...

Here's the other sequels and somewhat related Lam Ching-Ying vampire films:

Part 3 (1987)
Most people seem to enjoy it a lot more than part 2 and it has a period setting again.

Mr Vampire Saga Part 4 (1988)
No Lam Ching-Ying but some people actually think this is the best of the first 3 official sequels.

And then there's the unofficial Wong Jing entry in the series:
New Mr. Vampire (1986)
No Lam Ching-Ying again...fun but hard to get.

Vampire Vs Vampire (1989)
Lam Ching-Ying!
Certainly enjoyable.

And then there's Magic Cop (1990) or Mr Vampire 5:
Lam Ching-Ying!
It's enjoyable but it does have a modern setting.

The Ultimate Vampire (1991)
Lam Ching-Ying!
Fun (for the initiated) return to a period setting.
Hard to get (try youtube for these).

Crazy Safari (1991)
Lam Ching-Ying!
Crazy but fun.

Mr. Vampire 1992 (1992)
No Lam Ching-Ying again, haven't seen it but most people seem to hate it...
[edit] Lam Ching-Ying is in it! Small part I think.

The Musical Vampire (1992)
Lam Ching-Ying!
Haven't seen it yet but people seem to think it's one of the weaker entries.

I hope this answers your question. ;)
