Though that last series was probably the weakest, it was still chock full of great moments. Capaldi's final scenes as Tucker, as he battles for a 'dignified exit' is tv gold, hilarious and oddly moving . . .

I don't know if it was any stronger or weaker than the previous series – it certainly felt extremely real in its portrayal of the government and opposition, plus the inquiry episode was written and broadcast at such a time I wasn't sure if it was art imitating life or the other way round!

Latest acquisitions - can anyone guess why I imported 'The Master' rather than getting the UK edition?
