In the post yesterday...

The Adventures of Tom Thumb
Jacobs Ladder

And, finally...

GTA V - Amazon went back to disappointing with this preorder showing up the day after release. I only paid for 1st class, but having used prime and paid for one day delivery before and been disappointed I don't see the point in paying for more. Oh well, it's great! As usual it is GTA but on a much bigger scale. Can't wait for my 2 day weekend so I can really get into it.

Here's the trouble with Games preorders. Even if a game is in the warehouse/stockroom the seller must do everything to ensure gamer's don't get the title before launch. When I worked at Blocky there were occasions where we had a brand new game sat in the stock room several days.

Why?

Well if Uk/European customers get their games first, there is a subsection of American gamers who throw hissy fits and childish tantrums and call for boycotts. America is a big market for games companies and they don't want to piss them off so better to time it so everyone gets it at the same time/Americans get there first.

Australia has GTA 5 for at least 3/4 days now. We seem to get games a couple of days early, same with some new release movies.

Now that we have our brand spanking new R18+ rating for games, I'm pretty sure it's the first Rockstar title of recent to get through unscathed.

Didn't save Saints Row 4 though, that got rejected about 3 times before passing with a MA15+

Last American Virgin for a very reasonable £9.99 in HMV. They didn't have it on Monday, lazy.

Picked up Van Damme triple bill for £2 too. The Order, In Hell, Wake of Death.
