So I did some listening to their most played live songs worked out using setlist.fm, along with bands like Black Sabbath and other classics, to see whether I liked them, and to at least know their stuff.

In the case of Megadeth, I liked the stuff off Peace Sells, but the other stuff not as much, but boy did I enjoy Slayer. To attempt to learn anything from Reign in Blood? That's just admirable

That was 20 years ago, my playing has improved a hell of a lot since then, but I still can't keep up with the breakneck speeds of Reign In Blood, thankfully, they slowed down for the next couple of albums!

As for Megadeth, anything up to Youthanasia is worth a listen, after that there's the odd gem, but nothing will beat Rust In Peace in my eyes (and ears), a classic album that I still have on cassette from it's original release date in 1990!

Speaking of Megadeth, I bought this the other day from eBay:

I'll make an effort to check out those Megadeth albums then :)

As for that dvd, that cover is hilarious. Rude Awakening is an understatement there!

I agree with RiK everything up to Youthanasia is fantastic. It's hard to pick a favourite they are all that good.

It was done by Storm Thorgerson, who did most, if not all, the Pink Floyd stuff

And Muse, Biffy Clyro, and the Mars Volta I just found out! Amazing being able to put a name to so many great album covers I've seen

I got this bunch in the post today, I'm a big nerd for 'Melting man' and the extras look like they will keep me busy for a while. I haven't seen Night of the Hunter but i want to give it a go. i had some points too so it wasn't a bad deal for the three films. :)
