strangely enough i think the baby's real dad is the guy that chucks it away . I do think the scene of it lying on the floor is horrible and pointless. It's a shame the sequels are so shite as the monsters are cool and the first one the feel of eighties monster films.

Default meet John Carpenter

It's probably been mentioned elsewherebut theirs a meet and greet upgrade to the uk John Carpenter tickets, its £125 quid ,you meet him get your photo took, 2 items signed and get some other goodies. I know a few of you'll think it's a bit steep on top of normal ticket price, but sod it i think i am gonna go for it.

The Last Horror Film - 88Films Blu-Ray - £6:00

Charity Shops:
Che Parts 1 & 2 - Double DVD - £0:99
Buena Vista Social CLub - DVD - £0:99
The Comic Strip Presents: The Complete Collection - 9 disc DVD set - £4:99
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies - Blu-Ray - £1:00

CEX
Ben-Hur - Four Disc Collectors Edition - Already have the 1959 version, but it's a nasty 'flipper' disc. To be honest, I'm more interested in seeing the silent 1925 version of the film - £1:00

It's a fascinating film, much more overtly religious than the 1959 version, and with some massive set pieces. I saw it on the big screen at the Sage in Gateshead with an orchestra playing the score (I was fortunate enough to be there when they did the same with Charlie Chaplin's City Lights) – that was quite an experience.

Didn't go to FrightFest, but couldn't resist that FrightFest Guide by Alan Jones that Fab Press put out. It's got quite an interesting selection. With HMV not carrying Curtain online I picked it up instore, in the 2 for £10 offer alongside After Death. Quite a few of these seem to have sold from my local. Also a couple of recent releases (The Bloodstained Butterfly and Hangmen Also Die; not a fan of those covers ) and a few I'd been meaning to pick up (Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama and The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane).

Definitely decided to go to FrightFest next year. Even if not for the whole thing, just for a couple of days, I'd like to experience it.

The cover for Hangmen Also Die is a work of art.

I quite like both that and The Bloodstained Butterfly's artwork...for a change. Usually Arrow's aren't my cup of tea.

Mine either and 9 times out of 10 I'll flip 'em. I do like the Hangmen cover, although I'm not keen on Butterfly's.
