They are quite possibly made at the same factory. Luckily it doesn’t seem to affect new discs it was just around that particular period.

I rebought Drag Me From Hell from music magpie and that one didn’t work either!

I ended up rebuying Solomon Kane on dvd.

Fortunately it was one of those Cex deem worthy of selling at a whole English pound.
