I wonder what Nordy has up sleeve for tomorrow's topic...

This past week's theme has certainly generated a lot of interesting conversation and has been one of the best so far, in my opinion.

Well that was a fun week

Thanks to Dem for our most popular week so far

One of my favourite genres outside of horror from the American civil war to WW1 from WW2 to Vietnam and right up to modern times with the conflict in the Middle East I have always been fascinated with the subject . Be it for the right or wrong reasons usually the wrong every generation has grown up during some form of war and as horrific as it is there has been some great films about war over the years. So this weeks top ten is

WAR MOVIES

A genre i like but have come to a little late. Really wish I'd seen more of them. Still damn fine topic Nord. Hope you can live with the usual stretches and leftfield choices.
Plus as ever its a good reason to fit some films in this week.

I love this category.

I grew up watching classic war movies.

However i also acknowledge that there are other films which may feature, films set during a war that may not feature that much action for example.

I intend to do a couple of lists. All action war films and 'Others'.
