It was the two Nos's who said it was racist.

nosferatu42 blithely suggests Temple of Doom is racist then comes out with in the same post, and i quote

It's racist because of the cultural misrepresentation which takes place, with the monkey brains, snakes, eyeballs and other 'regional foods' designed for comedy gross-out effect not consumed in the part of the world, also depicting the natives is in some ways savage and less enlightened than Indy and the other Western adventurers.

Additionally, and this isn't racist, but it also misrepresents Hinduism and Buddhism due to the goddess Kali depicted as evil. This is far from my understanding, which is that she is important in creation and teaches knowledge, humility. Additionally, she is important in reincarnation, with her name evoked in Hindu cremation ceremonies (I think) signifying a triumph over death to become something else.

If they can't post selfies then to me that's pretty less enlightened... or perhaps it's the other way round.

Yes it does, something Calum Waddell writes about very well in his book on Cannibal Holocaust, something which is well worth reading for anyone with a passing interest in cannibal movies.
