Which is your favourite portrayal of Batman, and in which film? If it wasn't a list of 10, this could almost be a topic for another week, but could you put your Caped Crusaders in order from best to worst?

Mine would be:
  1. Christian Bale
  2. Michael Keaton
  3. Adam West
  4. Val Kilmer
  5. George Clooney
(I haven't seen Batman v Superman or Justice League, so can't comment on Ben Affleck's portrayal.)

Batman would be Michael keaton 1989 and Christian Bale The Dark Knight, loved the Adam West and Burt Ward tv series

Adam West
Michael Keaton
Christian Bale
Ben Affleck
Val Kilmer/George Clooney.

Watched Batman vs Superman once and Affleck's portrayal was better than Clooney and Kilmer.

If you're talking Batman then I think Keaton is the best film version.
I like Bales Batman films but they are too grounded in reality too truly capture that comic essence.

I find him really dry as an actor, too static and serious.
I think Keaton has an everyday feel about him but also a psychotic edge. And he doesn't have to do the annoying "I'm Batman" gravely voice.

Affleck is terrible.

He seems to be channeling a 'dark knight returns' vibe from the comics (if i'm right??) , a older more downbeat version, he's not as lithe and is more to do with power and aggression.

Whereas my impression from the comics was a highly intelligent, Sherlock Holmes sleuth who can out think the bad guys, but also has the physical ability to kick their ass when it's needed.

I think this may be to do with the Justice League movies being tied in with Affleck films.

To make him fit in with the other heroes super power capabilities they seem to have tried to bulk his character out, so he is not just a human with lots of money and intelligence, but is now an almost Hulk like figure.

I haven't seen Affleck's Batman in action yet, and am in no rush to do so.
