I've only seen Repo Man once, but it is certainly something I'd look into buying when released on BD.

That being said, with the specifications posted by Stephen, it's come from something I'd consider to a definite purchase.

Mind-blowing extras!

BFI Flipside Dual Format re-issues are now up for pre-order at Amazon:

I have all of the old editions of these, except for Man Of Violence, but may very well be tempted to double-dip if they turn up cheap. Interesting to see that Herostratus is only 1 BD and 1 DVD by the looks of things, whereas the original edition was 2 BDs (widescreen and full frame versions). I'm guessing that this one will only include the widescreen disc only. I wonder if they have changed anything for these?

I'm hearing rumours that Masters of Cinema are releasing Paths of Glory and The Killing?! If this is true, I'll probably pull a muscle whipping my wallet out too quickly!

I'm Interested to see what other Universal titles they'll be releasing. Pity Videodrome isn't one of them!

I should have the Criterion BDs of those early next week, along with a lot of other Criterion BDs I bought some time ago. I'll put some photos up when they arrive.

I haven't seen Ruggles of Red Gap and hadn't heard of it until you mentioned it there, so will have a look around and see what I've been missing and whether I'll buy it when released.

You've been missing quite a lot, as Ruggles of Red Gap is one of the best comedies ever made. It has an excellent cast (with the magnificent Charles Laughton as the title character), and very witty dialogues.

It's one of the few movies that I could watch each and every single day!

If you like clever British comedies like The Ladykillers, The Battle of the Sexes, or Kind Hearts and Coronets, you'll love Ruggles. Together with Ninotchka --> my five favourite comedies!

Greetings!

PS: I should maybe add The Mouse That Roared and The Party. Well, you see, I love classic comedies!

Sounds like my kind of film! Also, with Leo McCarey, who helmed several Marx brothers films, directing, it definitely has talent behind the camera as well as in front.
