The Germany branch of Universal Studios Home Entertainment has given two pleasant announcements for fans of 'Inglourious Basterds'. Firstly, the release is being pushed forward by a full month to January 14, 2010; and secondly, there will be three separate Blu-ray releases: a standard edition, a SteelBook edition, and a Limited Collector's SteelBook edition with all kinds of collectibles.

The collector's steelbook edition will only be available at Amazon.de and will be limited to 1,000 units. Contents will be as follows:

* Blu-ray Disc in Steelbook
* Eight-page comic
* Nation's Pride poster
* Three Nation's Pride postcards
* Poster with artwork from the film
* Special-format folded poster of Bridget von Hammersmark
* Mama Landa's strudel recipe
* Four coasters
* Felt keychain

I saw that pic the other day Maybe we'll get a lovely boxset with all 5 films (including the longer Japanese version of TA2)

That pisses all over the standard edition I was looking at in HMV today. Why do we not get those kind of releases over here?

Smile

Can anybody confirm if Optimum's Blu-Ray releases of Switchblade Romance and Universal Soldier actually contain the same extras as the DVD editions as there's no mention of any bonus material on the BR sleeves.

Also, have Optimum issued Frontiers on the new format?
