I didn't specify what kind of carpet, but if the stuff around your house was that thick it would probably cover your feet!

Whilst wonderful news, I have just paid through the nose for a copy of the old US Image DVD of Female Vampire!

Typical!

Female vampire is a difficult watch though.

Overall redemption have always had a decent track record with their releases and so-far all the redemption blus i've bought (all of them!) have been excellent picture quality. Personally though i'd look at trying to see requiem for a vampire or lips of blood first. If you dont like them then best to avoid rollins work.
Cheers for the advice... I think I'll order LIPS OF BLOOD, then I can think about pre-ordering REQUIEM FOR A VAMPIRE if I get on with it. I also read a review of FASCINATION saying it was a decent starting point as it has some semblance of a plot unlike most other Rollin films, would anyone agree?

On a side note its good to see Kino working with Redemption to release these films. Aside from Criterion, I think Kino are the best US blu ray publisher out there, the vast majority of their releases are top notch in terms of AV quality and they release some pearls; their Selznick collection & the silent movies they've released, for example, are great to see on blu ray.

Ultimate Shockfest SD Blu-ray + Limited Edition Poster Horror Express / Alien Contamination / Night Of The Living Dead / Deep Red / Oasis Zombies / Messiah Evil / Satanic Rites Dracula / Dementia 13 / City ... 2011: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher Lee, Pet

it says it SD blu-ray so i'm in no hurry, though some of the titles do look interesting. Pieces on blu-ray and messiah of evil on blu-ray are both tempting. Other titles look like the public domain heavily edited releases. (tenebrae is for sure)
Hmm, 'SD Blu-ray' sounds like a contradiction in terms to me. If the films are in standard definition, then what is the point in releasing them on BD in the first place, other than to being able to get more films on one disc?

My thoughts as well, hence i've not actually bought it yet.

I still find the prospect of blu-ray pieces, oasis of the zombies ect to be somewhat tempting despite the higher portion of my brain telling me its a bad idea.

Looks very VERY interesting. Expecting to hear something about this, like picture quality and cut statues.

That means it will be 480P/i upscaled to 1080P/i.

Not even that probably. Just looks like all the films in SD crammed onto one BD to save packaging space instead of a multi-DVD set.
