THE QUIET ONES. Ho Hum, yet more spooky found footage style stuff but this time from Blighty and Hammer. It's not that good really and completely wastes it's 70s setting by not going down the whole Wyrd England vibe of the time. However it does contain some things that I greatly enjoyed: enforced listening to Slade and T Rex as a form of psychic torture ( I imagine these scenes are like flashbacks for Ron), a Brion Gysin Dream Machine, the demons I named the girl MTDS after and a cover version of Hawkwind's Silver Machine over the closing credits.

Hammer, Lilith, Hawkwind and Ron. = You can't really get more of a recommendation than that.

Shame the film isn't that good.

Hopefully it drops below a fiver and keeps the slip case. I need to pick it up for the old Hammer collection.

Actually it would have been better if my daughter had been in it. Here's a picture of her, you might see why.

I might be wrong but I think I've seen it in the supermarkets for around a fiver. I watched it on Netflix.

I actually found the Clooney one to be a better movie. Thought the Tarkovsky one was boring and pretentious twaddle.

Watched two very fiffewrent films in the last 24hrs but both very good in their own ways.

First was Hitchcock's Frenzy (1972) I recorded from BBC HD. Call me a perverted maniac but i actually think I enjoyed this more than Pyscho.

Watched Paddington with my sister this morning at the cinema. A very charming tale of Paddington. Nigel Farage should be strapped to a chair ClockWork Orange style and put in front of this wonderful film.

Both get a strong 9/10
