Default What films have you seen recently?

FANTACIDE
no political correctness, gore galore and some good humour
TERROR NATION
not as violent but Shane Mather directs another fine film

Even though I have seen it Ant, I will definitely be giving it a spin on the blu ... can imagine the sound being exquisite. Kudos to the director then for imaginative use of audio. Something many other directors should be taking note of. The audio is just as important as the visuals to me.

Same here -- Inception had an excellent soundtrack and superb sound design, as did Toy Story 3, but this was right up there with some of the best films I've heard and it should be given a DTS-HD Master Audio (or LPCM, if not both) 7.1 track in order to maximise the music and sound design on Blu-ray.

In saying that, I threw MBV on blu in and out of curiousity put the anaglyph (red green) 3D on and I was surprisingly impressed how the depth worked! Of course it wasn't great, but the best of it's type I have seen. I normally moan as it is just a way of selling a disk and a complete waste of time and money, but this was a little better. I did however turn it off after 10 minutes as the headache began to appear.
I nearly opened the red/green specs that came with the DVD but decided not to bother. I dont really enjoy 3D in the cinema so there's no point trying to enjoy it at home with those things.

I watched the Optimum release of A Lizard in a Womans Skin last night. It's amazing how sophisticated Fulci was before his 'trash' days (obviously I use the term lovingly).

Of course, what's wrong with trash cinema?

This afternoon/evening I watched Brighton Rock (the original on Blu-ray), Trauma (the Marc Evans film with Colin Firth, not the Dario Argento one) and have just started watching Porky's.
