I can see it now, and I was right as I figured Mel Gibson had only been in one remake: Payback!

As for House of the Devil -- I'm a fan and have the BD on my 'to watch' pile.

Has he done other stuff worth seeing then?

The House Of The Devil was beautifully filmed, just had major pacing issues and a distinct lack of story. Might have made a very effective half hour piece.

What else has he done that I should track down?

He done Roost which I enjoyed and also cabin fever 2 which sucked.
he is a bit of a hit or miss director but Innkeepers is meant to be very good.

After.Life. Enjoyable film but not great. The fact that Christina Ricci is looking hot in this film, is a reason for watching in itself

"Prowl" I rather enjoyed this, though guessed the ending from the first 10 minutes and the blurb on the cover. Still, it tries to be a little different, not by much but enough for me.
