Good retailers for CR stuff:
Planet Axel most titles that are listed as "pre-order" are in stock btw!
Amazon.com
DiabolikDVD
Video Universe

Or you could also try Amazon UK,seems there's also lots of Code Red (except for the new(er) releases I think).

The newer releases filter through slowly. You can't pre order, however if you don't mind the wait, all good things etc.

Almost Human - a superb film by Umberto Lenzi within the genre at which he excelled. Great story, wonderful performances (Milian's unhinged loser sociopath is sublime, whilst Ray Lovelock counters this with a subtle and measured turn - excellent) and one of the best car chases ever put on film. Shameless's DVD is exceptional.

The Red Shoes - what is there to say? One of the greatest films ever made. The ITV Blu-Ray looks marvellous.

I watched Pink Cadillac the other night. Pretty standard 80's Clint.

I watched Wake Wood last night. Was ok, had a few good moments. Although it is really difficult not think about 'Pet Semetary' during it.

Drive Angry - a wonderful film! So amusing and unashamedly tongue-in-cheek. Great over the top action. Nicely absurd story. Nic Cage was really funny too. Liked it.

I wasn't really expecting to like it either after all I'd heard about it, but I thought it was great.

finally got around to a shameless release today, the wonderfully perverse Venus In Furs, a rather extraordinary film about domination and mind games, beautifully shot and scored with two great performances from Laura Antonelli and Regis Vallee. While it is on the shameless label, it's a very mature film, not sleazy in the slightest and while watching it i was trying to find out where the BBFC trims were...4/5

Then it was a bit of late 80s action thriller with the film Run starring Patrick Dempsey and Kelly Preston. I spent ages trying to track the film down as i'd seen it a while ago and really enjoyed it. It was alright, fast paced but the same scenario has been done countless times before. Worth watching in a double bill with Toy Soldiers, the film with Sean Astin....3/5

Watched The Blob (1958) last night, not bad at all (been ages since I last watched it) but Caltiki (Freda/Bava) is much better imo.

Spot the differences...

The scene where Cage takes out a room full of bad guys with a naked blonde sat on his was just fantastic.

as i cant get onto the CR site in library, can anyone recommend a decent retailer of CR stuff???...have been checking the CR thread...some of these are affected the same (family friendly filter etc GRRRRRR)

will watch print with comm tomorrow. kudos to all involved!!
PS anal niggle dept. why isnt the "thumbs up" emoticon in the "top 35" btw?

By 'family filter' I take it you mean you're on a public service computer, can't really take 'safe search' off without them 'asking' you to bugger off. Internet cafes are different, when I use them I just use Google and go to settings and switch safesearch off, as long as you don't have porn on the screen shouldn't be any bother. Prices vary tho, I have one that only charges 75p per hour, you could always ask if they mind if you switch the filter off. They will say "No porn" tho. Another way is to get a cheap 3g phone(mine cost £24.99) and install Opera mini(that allows you to avoid safe search locks)... On a humorous note my mate got the boot out of our local library in 3/4 minutes after deactivating the filter, he told em "What's the problem mate, it's not like I'm sitting here having a wank" laughed so hard almost wet myself.
