Just seen Brad Anderson's new flick Vanishing on 7th Street.

It reminded me a lot of The Road because they had similar tones and both were depressing. This is not as depressing as The Road and they do not have same stories.
I thought it was pretty good flick although quite slow. Was not as good as Session 9 however.

Devil - Not bad. Intruiging and fairly creepy at the beginning and didn't outstay it welcome, although it all became a little hokey towards the end.

Hitcher 2 - absolutely terrible, nothing to recommend this at all. The only point of interest is how much Jake Busey looks like his Dad!

Watched Hardware & the original I Spit On Your Grave last night.

Also went to the cinema to watch Black Swan. Pretty much A career defining movie for Natalie Portman me thinks.

I'm big fan of most of Aronofsky's movies, especially The Wrestler & Requiem for a Dream, plus Vincent Cassel is one of my favourite actors ever so it was a bit of a no brainer to go & watched. Throughly enjoyed it (even the ballet parts) & the last half of the film was extremely dark & twisted! Great stuff.

Black Swan in the cinema today. It's incredible. A must-see if you're a fan of stuff like Repulsion and Possession.

Just finished watching Pontypool. I was quite enjoying it to begin with. I liked the idea of a stripped down zombie film set in a radio station. That was until I found out what cuased the outbreak and the film just got stupid. I can see what they were trying to do, but for me it didnt work at all.

I want to see it at some point next week but my choices are limited as there aren't that many showings every day at the Cineworld nearest me. I've tried to stay away from reviews and as many trailers as possible so I can be as open minded as possible and see it 'blind'.

This evening I watched A Single Man and Cannibal Ferox with the commentary.
