Ah, I though the performances were awful. Wooden and clunky. It was probably my main issue with the piece. I didn't buy them at all. I also thought it odd that for a real life couple they had no apprent on-screen chemistry!

Deffo a "Marmite" one!

Watched Altered States today for the first time and was blown away. Such a brilliant film!

You got that right, King - it's incredibly trippy. The hallocinations were brilliant and often disturbing in their own way. There were moments that were slighly comical/cheesy but besides those very rare moments its one hell of a film. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before.

It would look incredible in HD!

Well I remember see ZCF on VHS eons ago and remembering it being poor (and cut) .. but Christ on a bike is this film bad! I have more talent in my left bollock than Mattei has in his whole f*ckin body! I am not sure what was worse, the inept direction, the pathetic FX or the overdosing of unconvincing stock footage of wildlife!

Oh and I think, I THINK ... Mattei has seen Dawn Of The Dead!

Oh my God, I have just spotted there are extras on the DVD .... I can't turn it off quick enough. I feel dirty .. and not in a good way!
I go back to ZCF every couple of years or so for some inexplicable reason in search of redeeming features and come out empty. It's not even bad in a funny way. Last time was about 6 months ago. Some twisted sense of nostalgia stops me from getting rid of though and no doubt I'll watch it again in a couple of years and wonder why I bothered. I actually much prefer the Hell Of The Living Dead title now because it describes the viewing experience quite well.

The thing is, if it came out on Blu I have a sad feeling the helpless nostalgia would draw me in again.

Watched Wall street and the Rocker last night. I kept thinking that Jack Black should've been in the Rocker though

I think the Rocker was too much of a carbon copy of School of Rock for JB to have bothered being in it. I much preferred the Russle Brand film Get Him To The Greek for a rock themed comedy. Its actually pretty ace!!!

It is one I'll rent at some point to see how well it stands up to repeated viewing.

Oh Blob ... poor you! You need help sir! If I could trade my copy I bloody would! Don't want it taking space up alongside classics in my collection. Everytime I skim past it I shudder!

I actully liked Monsters too, it was very well made for his first flick and despite looking like more of a action packed movie in the trailers I did not get put off or bored when I saw that it was more of a drama.
I will have to wait till price drops for the blu however.
