What spelling mistake? I've just had a look at the cover and I can't see one.

In terms of the film, you're absolutely right as it is a complete hodgepodge of various different plot threads and nods to other horror films so anyone who (wrongly) thinks that Fulci's films lack a coherent narrative need only to look at this one for proof!

I'd never noticed that before, probably because the font makes the letters blur together slightly. I wonder why no one's noticed it until now.

It's picked up on in the Manhattan Baby thread. It looked like there was some talk of getting it corrected but my copy is from the Fulci Box of Terror set so it probably didn't happen. Not that it matters really!

I have two copies: the original release and the one from Fulci's Box of Terror. I've just checked and they both have a spelling mistake. In any case, I've switched the one in Fulci's Box of Terror to the reverse sleeve.

It doesn't make a blind bit of difference and pretty much suits the film which is about as barmy as they come!

I watched The Collector last night.

Not bad, it seemed to improve as it went along, some nice gore fx in places. The ending came as a surprise to me as i had forgotten the opening scene.

Watched Scarecrows (1988)...I then had a lot of questions and even a visit to Imdb or the Wiki page ( Scarecrows (1988 film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) didn't really help...maybe it's better this way.
With Scarecrows being mysterious, weird and creepy how couldn't I like this low budget horror (or is it a supernatural slasher?) with excellent cinematography and some cool gory kills?
Calling it a hidden gem (like some do) would maybe be a bit much but I nevertheless enjoyed watching this.

The US MGM dvd is the one to get btw, great pic quality and uncut version.
