I should really make time to watch both seasons of Twin Peaks again but it may take some time due to the enormous pile of unwatched DVDs and BDs I own. I've also recorded Predators so, for good or ill, I'm going to watch that before I get round to Twin Peaks!

Twin Peaks is brilliant - the best TV series ever made, in my opinion.

I also agree with you on Predators - I recently rented it from Love Film, and found it to be utterly terrible. A shame really, as it had an interesting premise.

I do have several Korean films, but this was way too much.

Think the Japanese do it as well, the shouty screaming in stuff like 'Battle Royale' really can put you off. Two characters may only be a couple of metres apart but it's "WAAAAH....TAMAKI!!!!". Arty Japanese films are very quite indeed. maybe it comes from a Manga/Anime thing.

Depending on what you define as 'recently' here's a little collage of the last 50 (!) films I have seen. Yes, I have no life.

Just watched this again, brilliant late 70's cult item starring James Brolin. Can't recommend this movie enough

Just finished watching Stake Land, one of the best films of the year so far for me, it was heart felt, brutal and extremely well acted. written and directed. Reminded me of The Road and The Postman but with added Vampires...awesome!

Finished watching Horror of the Blood Monsters yesterday...had to watch it with the Sam Sherman commentary (which was fun and interesting) because this was really a dreadful patchwork of parts of an acquired b/w Filipino movie and footage shot by Adamson and Sherman.
They tinted the b/w footage to match the colour footage btw...

I'd say the Adamson footage was fun,the original Filipino movie at least well made (from the looks of it) and Sherman's footage nutty but the finished film was actually a big bore imho.

Was planning on watching some movies today but had to disinfect my computer (mall/ad ware etc)...
Everything seems to be running fine now though so I'll hopefully be able to watch something tonight.
