PA4 was honestly the worst film I saw last year. Absolutely shocking.

Not the worst I saw but it was up there. For me Project X still has to be surppased in term's of pushing the boundaries of bad taste, Breaking Dawn part 2 barely qualifies as a film at all in term's of how ghastly it is and 2 Days in Paris is just an hour and a half of nasty people being nasty.

I haven't seen it but, out of curiosity more than anything, it's sitting in my Lovefilm rental list on high priority.

I meant in terms of films released that year but didn't say that admittedly!

Recent viewings over the last couple of days:

You've Been Trumped
- Wonderful documentary on the thoroughly loathsome Donald Trump's attempt to destroy part of Scotland's coastline in order to make the world's best golf course, riding roughshod over the locals in the process. Well made and incredibly anger-inducing, the actions of Trump and all involved with his project (including the security and the local police force who commit a shocking assault on the filmmaker) really have to be seen to be believed.

Mother's Day (remake) Piece of modern nu-exploitation done in a gritty-realist style but lacking the soul and honesty of any Troma production. It's not without its moments but at 111 minutes it outstays its welcome for such a flimsy premise. Rebecca De Mornay is fantastically twisted and compelling in it though and does her best to keep the film together but it's not enough sadly.

I never seen any of the Para films, I can tell right off I wont like them!

Can't wait to watch From Beyond tonight, I watched Red State too late and it was 11pm by the time it finished so I watched the Stuart Gordon interview on the FB disc and it had some clips from the remastered film and they look fantastic. It was very Pink

Thought I'd check out my Holy Motors BD that arrived this morning, see what all the fuss is about. 25 minutes later and off it went, utter garbage. Nice green case though.
I've put Dracula Has Risen From The Grave on now instead, a film that is most certainly not shite!

Nah, I can totally undersatnd how most folk would hate it

But you should stick with it to the end for one viewing at least - so many amazing moments to enjoy. It's a portmanteau of awesome

I can't wait to revisit it . . .

I probably will give it another chance at some point, but today I'm clearly not in the right frame of mind for 2 hours of French art house bollocks
