Texas Chainsaw (2013) Better then I expected it to be , but a few things did bother me about the film . 1. According to the new time line part two never happened ( part two is my favorite of the TCM franchise). 2. Bill Mosley's role in this film was way too short. The make up and special effects were pretty good. This movie is not great but is still way better then TCM: the next generation.

Man of Steel: So "meh" I can barely muster the energy to review it properly. Nice action scene's though but not really worth it when Superman act's like such a douche. Then my mate's tried to get me to like Project X for what feel's like the fifth time. Still utterly rancid and can't get past the first 10 minuets. Over all, a poor day, i'll fix that with a viewing of Dont Look Now.

It's one of my favourite movies of all time. can fix even the images of Project X's bloated corpse from my mind.

Zero Dark Thirty (German Blu which apart from the packaging is identical to the UK blu I think) - another film I missed on its cinema release. Fantastic. The first part, the hunt for bin laden, is a brilliantly tense thriller whilst the raid at the end is superb. Recommended.

Lore today a German language filmset in the days immediately after the Allied victory over the Nazi's. It was directed by the Australian director responsible for the sublime Somersault. I reviewed this over on my Diary thread last year after I saw it at the Hamburg International Film Festival (where it won the critics prize).

Well, after picking up "The Fifth Element" today in a Charidee shop I just had to watch "Zatoichi". I haven't seen this Beat Takeshi masterwork for nearly 10 years and little bits kept popping into my mind just before they happened, as fresh as if I'd seen it yesterday, and no, gag, I hadn't. It still has the power to shock, a little, and to surprise. Kitano's typically subdued acting belies the power of the character he plays making the ferocity of the fight sequences all the more outstanding in comparison. I like this film an awful lot 10 years ago, I loved it tonight. 18/10 for sheer style!

Couldn't disagree more in my opinion. I found it better than the first in nearly everyway.
