Trick R Treat on Blu Ray last night. Great film and really puts you in the mood. PQ & Audio were very good also, and the extras are well worth a viewing

PS
Only $6.49 at Amazon US at the moment:

Watched Evil Dead last night. Very worried about this one,so I never bought it when it came out on DVD nor did I see it in cinema, but I said screw it and decided to buy it. Anyway, still had fleeting worries about it but it turned out to be quite a good horror, the original is still better though

THE HOBBIT:An Unexpected Journey Extended edition.

I had the blu ray on pre-order from the U.S and it arrived yesterday.
Excellent package. The film looks awesome. There is about 13mins of extended and extra scenes added. Don't know what to say about the new scenes without spoiling it for people.
Just started the first disc of special features and you will be pleased to know there is about nine hours worth.

That's shorter than I was expecting, thought it would be like The Lord of the rings films, but I did think the hobbit was padded out to much, really could of done the book in one film, two at most.

I think I'll wait until all three films have been made and there is a box set containing the trilogy and the complete story, no doubt with more extra features than the individual releases. As An Unexpected Journey is on Netflix at the moment, I'll survive without the extra 30 minutes!

The Mummy (1959)

Lots of nice dark rich colours in a great restoration. We have hammer stalwarts of Cushing, Lee and Ripper. In for me the best hammer mummy movie which is down to the cast and some great set peices. Highlights include the mummy coming out f the swamp and the ending back at the swamp. Same great extras included on the set. 9/10

A full length film stolen face
Unwrapping the mummy the making of a hammer classic
The hammer rep company
The house of horror memoirs of bray
The world of hammer: hammer stars peter Cushing
Stills gallery
PDF booklet
Audio commetery

Next up for me my favourite peter Jackson film the frighteners, the nightmare on elm street if enough time.

About 15mins of Class of Nuke 'Em High before going on the hop... I like Toxic Avenger so I'll usually give a Troma film a chance but this one was so irritating I couldn't watch anymore. And to think it took 4 people to write this and 2 to direct it...
