Definitely, I love Let's scare jessica to death, it's more of a psychological horror than gore, but if you can get into the atmosphere it's really good.
Can't believe there's no UK release available still. Give it a watch while you've got the chance.

I recently had a Blu-ray double bill of Twins of Evil and Hands of the Ripper -- two of the best Hammer horrors of the 1970s.

What he (Nos 42) said. 'Let's Scare Jessica To Death' is one of my fave seventies horrors and has quite a strange, heavy atmosphere.

Wife just managed to get me to sit through Saving Mr Banks with Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. The story of how Walt Disney (Hanks) persuades the author of Mary Poppins to let him turn her book into the famous film. Its inoffensive enough and a good cast make it watchable but really nothing special. Doesn't help i hate Mary Poppins.
Not as good as The Exorcist.

You're right in that it's not as good as The Exorcist, but I thought both Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks were excellent, especially Thompson, even though the PL Travers back story doesn't quite gel as well as it showed with the present-day story. I also thought Jason Schwartzman and B. J. Novak were really good as Sherman brothers, but then I love Mary Poppins and the songs.

I have the Masters of Cinema release, which I think is excellent. I am not sure, but I may have the Criterion DVD as well. It is a brilliant film, and an all-time great, one of the few films to which the word 'great' applies – it's occasionally thrown around little too often – but M is one deserving the superlative.

That does look like a quality release with a really nice MediaBook.

It is as far as I know the most complete version introducing new footage originally thought lost and not included on the Eureka/Criterion release.

I wish I didn't know that – I'll have to buy it now!
