Powaqqatsi. (Arrow)

Another I have had standing on the shelf for some time, big mistake..........it is utterly breath-taking, the PQ is astonishing and the score from Philip Glass is superb. Everyone should experience this film at least once. 10/10.

It is brilliant, but I think it's the weakest of the two in that box sets, and Baraka is even better as a film and as a reference disc to showcase your AV system.

Just took my lad to the cinema to watch Home.
Dreamworks Animations latest. An alien race called the Boov have invaded and colonised the Earth and densely relocated humans into uninhabited parts of the planet. One Boov called 'O' befriends a young orphaned girl and sets out to help her find her relocated mother.
Really fun little film with some original sci fi ideas i liked. Very funny in places too.
How does it compare to The Exorcist you ask?? Loads better!

Just started argentos dracula and this is going to be a chore to get through on the plus side have inferno to look forward to afterwards

Edit

Just finished argentos Dracula not as bad as remember but still very poor considering who the director is, terrible special effects, acting that goes from abysmal to ok, poor sets, music and costumes. If it had been an unknowing director I could of forgiven it's many problems but not from someone like agento! Also it was to bright this might of been the netflix version because even at night it was like it was the middle of the day. 4/10

Well just about to start inferno which while I'm watching will be thinking what the hell happened to Agento to make a masterpiece like this and than produce crap like Dracula

I love Ron Frick's work on Baraka and Samsara (I have them both), i believe he worked on or had something to do with K & P.

AMERICAN NINJA. Martial arts mayhem that comes on like an over excited puppy trying to shag your leg through a vhs copy of AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN. Recommended.

THE PERFECT WEAPON. More martial arts chaos but with added homoerotic opening scenes. In this one a karate expert who can't control his temper will never become a dragon as he lacks wisdom and will forever be a tiger, all brute strength and no thought. Of course, to achieve the Dragon understanding he has to kick the shit out of every f#cker who crosses his path. This is a fun, action filled flick from the early 90s that uses it's cliches as strengths and is worth a look for fans of American no brainer action cinema.

He was the cinematographer on Koyaanisqatsi, but I don't think he actively worked on Powaqqatsi. Chronos is also well worth watching as it is a brilliant piece of filmmaking.

I haven't seen Naqoyqatsi, Godfrey Reggio's other entry in the 'Qatsi trilogy'.
