I thought it was a mess without any of the substance or horror of the first two films. It was also unintentionally funny at times, which is a critical mistake in a Terminator film.

That sounds more like Terminator 3 than Salvation.

Both were poor, but the second sequel was much better than Salvation.

Pleasantly surprised by this as I saw the name Eli Roth and so wasn't excepting much, but he only presented it.

Was expecting a story of a psychopath dressed as a clown. But we have a story about a father who when the clown he hired for his sons birthday party cancels, he dons a clown outfit he finds in a house that he is selling. Everything is fine until the next day when he can't remove the outfit, soon we find out that it's no ordinary clown outfit and it slowly changes who ever wears it into a demon which is what clowns are based on. Later we find out that there are only two options for the farther, either be beheaded which will kill the demon or kill 8 children which will allow the outfit to be removed. Well acted and most of the kills are very unsettling and disturbing as they involve young children. 8/10

It just wasn't the same without Arnold Schwarzenegger, though I thought the idea about setting the film in the future is a good one. Unusually, Christian Bale was terrible, easily out-acted by Sam Worthington, but it was really let down by the leaden script, which left the film predictable and full of forgettable characters.

I too preferred Rise Of The Machines. Absolutely nothing to do with love of Claire Danes you understand. I thought Nick Stahl was really good in the movie, and I loved the ending. Bale has started to grate on me in recent years. There's only so much of his growling one dimensional performance in different films that you can take.

Wishing I'd picked up the blu now, was reasonably priced when it was first up for preorder.
