How odd. The first is the shorter version which appears when posted from a mobile phone and the other is the longer URL which is posted from a PC; even though they both work, only the first one shows as a video on my computer!

Cut and Run (1985)

Crazy Ruggero Deodato feature starring the wild eyed Michael Berryman with Lisa Blount proving her great turn in John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness was a one off and a repetitive score from Claudio Simonetti that rips of She-Ra Princess of Power.

Easily Deodato's most entertaining film.

Watched the 2009 remake of My Bloody Valentine (I'm quite a big fan of the original film). Proceedings aren't helped by rudimentary cinematography and a weak performance by one of the lead actors (Jensen Ackles).The first hour was actually quite painful. The easiest way to describe my feelings is that it was reminding me of the Stab film clips from the Scream franchise!

Luckily the final third is pretty good with some excellent suspense sequences. It just goes to show that you should always watch the entirety of a film before judging it. Final film score - 6.5/10. btw My blu-ray came with 2D and anaglyph 3D versions. I first watched the 2D version but will check out the 3D option on Sunday evening. I took a cursory look at the 3D effect and it seemed quite good. Sure it's a gimmick but it's a bit of harmless fun.

Viewing it in anaglyph 3D would probably add another 0.5 to my film score.

MANHATTAN BABY

Right at the tail end of Lucio Fulci's classic period, this bizarre mix of THE EXORCIST, ROSEMARY'S BABY ( amongst others ) is a confusing collection of elements from Lucio's previous movies - ranging from the music from THE BEYOND, the annoying brat from HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY and more -all interspersed with blasts of typical Fulci gore.

Needless to say, it becomes increasingly confusing as it goes on, but it does have that Fulci 'vibe' to it and, although it's not up there with his all time classics, I really like it. I always had a feeling this one would benefit from the HD treatment and I wasn't wrong, as this blu ray from Blue Underground looks fantastic.

There are some great extras here too, the best of which is a career spanning interview with composer extraordinaire Fabio Frizzi, a man whose soundtracks are a vital ingredient in making Fulci's horror movies look and sound so unique. There are even clips of him performing live, including a clip of him performing my favourite piece of music from CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD. Even if this isn't Fulci's best movie, this 3 disc release is an essential purchase.

Been a while since seen this , can't remember much about it but know I enjoyed it.
