I really like 'A Christmas story" Bob Clark's kids film, also really enjoy his 'Death dream' and 'Children shouldn't play with dead things' too.
A Christmas Story is Bob Clark's best film by a mile, I love it loads!

Reptilicus (1961)

I quite like this rampaging giant reptile film as it seems to stand out from the rest of the giant lizards as it's a Danish film and lays waste to Copenhagen rather than the usual suspects of New York and Tokyo.

There's also a serious amount of hardware on show. I don't mean toy tanks either, the real thing. At one stage i thought it was stock footage from a huge budget war movie but it obviously isn't. IMDB buffoons say it's stock footage but it isn't, it's the same film stock as the rest of the movie...Well the rest of the movie when Reptilicus isn't on screen, because sadly, the green monster is quite poorly rendered but after a while you get used to it, or at least i do.

Reptilicus isn't the finest example of sixties monster movies but it's one i always enjoy.

Where?
Hiding 'neath the stairs
Waiting to catch us unaware ....

Ahem.

The Flesh And Blood Show (1972, Pete Walker)
The real problem of making horror films in this country is that you are constantly fighting against a moribund set of 'moral standards' that hogtie you from the off.

A troupe of actors are hired by a mysterious benefactor to improvise something about .... let's not get bogged down with details ahem. The film itself presents us with a delicate trail of crumbs ... for a while anyhow.

Ostensibly a warped take on 10 Little Indians or proto Stagefright, take your pick. It always was my least favourite of his, but felt I had to give it another chance after providence struck again as it fell out whilst looking for something else

Just put this on because I haven’t watched it in years and your review reminded me about it, but I think you’re confusing Alan Rickman with Ronan Vibert

I did think when I read your review that I didn’t remember Rickman being in it
