Default The absolute worst films of all time!

I have the original F13 on blu ray
But (I know this will never happen, Paramount. MPAA etc), if only parts 2-8 were released completely uncut with the gory scenes intact
platostotal likes this.

They just hit the right notes with me, probably as i lived my teen years with them.
Outside of the first two, I'm not keen on the series. I'd certainly take them over the Elm Street movies anyday, though.

I know the films are walking cliches nowadays due to the hundreds of rip offs, but the cliches were pretty much invented by that series in the first place.

A Bay of Blood got there first.

It's not so much the cliche aspect to it, as I agree that the series was the inception for the many copycats that succeeded it; more so the annoying characters, and unimaginative and over-milked storylines; where studios like Platinum Dunes just squeeze every penny out of an idea until there's nothing left.

Then again, that's probably my main gripe with US franchise horror as a whole, and is probably why I'm more drawn to gialli and more off-the-wall slashers like Maniac, Eyes of a Stranger, Don't Answer the Phone and Gutterballs. I find them more refreshing the endless sea of franchises, sequels, and remakes.

and Sean Cunningham still hasn't said 'Yes I was inspired by A BAY OF BLOOD'!
In the Mario Bava doc, he only says that he would agree that there are some cenes similar to Bava's classic
when a lot of the scenes were directly copied. axe in face. spear through bed couple etc

Gutterballs is great - truly annoyingly awful characters + stupid plot = great film.

I'm not a huge fan of Nicholson, but he nailed it with Gutterballs; I hugely anticipate the sequel!

There are basically three good films in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise: the first one, the third one and New Nightmare. The rest of them are extremely forgettable.

I had a mental list of terrible films, but I can't remember them now!
