The Bronson Samurai western Red Sun. Which release is advisable to getn the anamorphic widescreen print from Optimum of the 4:3 open matte release from Cinema Club which apparently has more information top and bottom of the picture. According to IMDB it's the widescreen release, what do you think? |

I still haven't! I cancelled my pre-order with Amazon (as recommended by your good self) and am waiting for the inevitable end of year Network sale to bag myself a copy.

£9 for a blu and £7 for a dvd is excellent value (even though their releases are never strong on extras which doesn't really bother me) and always beats Amazon and other retailers price wise. However the knowledge that they have a couple of sales each year means i put off paying even those reasonable prices and wait for the sale where they are more often than not at least 40% cheaper. |

I don't own it but i have ordered it as part of this sale. I've only seen it once a looooong time ago. My main memory is of the gorgeous vivid technicolor. It was jaw dropping especially for a film from 1940. |
