Good films or not, I think Ricky was more swaying more to the idea of fanboyism, whereby people will hail certain films as being great just because their idols/critics/books do the same.

Just for the record, I'm not a fan of either Casablanca or Rio Bravo.

On Golden Pond/Ordinary People/A Beautiful Mind ie oscar winners that are worthy in some way or other.

i wish i could legally carry a flamethrower sometimes.....

I was trying to refer to fanboyism as pointed out. I don't mind Rio Bravo besides the cheese fest musical number half way through. I just hate fanboys. Not referring to anyone on here. But I have met alot of them.

And Casablanca isn't the best film ever made...The Shining is.

RIO BRAVO is ok but it's nowhere near as good as it's made out to be.

The best film ever made is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! Chevy Chase is the greatest actor since Ivor Novello.
