Not really...more a drama set in contemporary times.
Good film though imho.

What sort of vampire films do you like best?
The more traditional gothic ones (cobwebs etc) or the ones with a contemporary setting?

The Universal and Hammer Vampire films are all essential viewing, as are the films of Jean Rollin.

Here's some others i really like.

I like all sorts of Vampire films. From modern day romantics like Twilight and The Vampire Diaries to full on horror. Just depends my mood at the time. Vampires just fascinate me in general.

heeheehee, they are a different take on Vamps at least but still a lovely story! One horror genre I generally dislike is werewolves but when the werewolves are actually portrayed by wolves rather than the ugly things seen in things such as The Wolf Man - then it's cool....lol.

Chan-wook Park's 2009 film Thirst is a fantastic movie. Definitely worth a see...

Well the first two on the thread (Salem's Lot and Martin) I've never seen

For me my favourites are Lost Boys, Near Dark, Zoltan Hound of Dracula and Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires.

I'm also not ashamed to admit I like the Underworld series as well (or at least 3 of them)
