Forgot about Underworld, only seen the first one but I liked it, might have something to do with the fact I have a major thing for Kate Beckinsale

There are two things to be wary of here.

1) Make sure it is the proper 1979 version with David Soul and James Mason, and not the 2004 version with Rob Lowe and Donald Sutherland

2) Make sure it is the full 184 minute version, and not the edited 107 minute version

My favourite vampire film is probably Dracula (1931).

Yes, so true. The 2004 remake was hugely disappointing!! And the edited version leaves out so much that you don't really get the proper story! I remember for years I had only seen the edited version and when I finally watched the uncut version it made so much more sense!

The newest one is good, the only one I found slightly drawn out was part 2, but I really liked all the others

My favourate vampire film is probably the original Nosferatu. Adore that film, the sooner there's a BD the better 'lear's at the MoC thread'.

Fright Night is definitely a must see, especially the original, tho the remake isn't too bad, but my fave of those is Fright Night Part 2 - check that out, though it's quite hard to come by.

Vamp is one of my all time favorites... some good 80s stuff there!

Waxwork is a good movie with a vampire segment

i guess 30 days of night isn't too bad either... not great, but watchable imho.

also : The Lost Boys, From Dawn Til Dusk, And the original Salem's Lot - i even quite liked A Return To Salem's Lot (i can see what they were trying to achieve, even if it was poorly executed.)

but you shouldn't be put off all werewolf movies. the Ginger Snaps trilogy is quite good, especially the first 2 parts (and they star Bevvy!) and i also recommend Wes Cravens Cursed. - featuring many of young hip Hollywood at the time - kinda the werewolf equivalent of Scream.

You probably remember Vamp, about fraternity boys going to a strip club... Grace Kelly puts on quite a performance... there's a very badly stereotyped Asian guy providing most of the comic relief? ring any bells?

And The Ginger Snaps Movies are quite a lot of fun
