Good call Rik, I adore Pet Sematary. Would love to get the Blu but just can't be spending any more money. Blu comes with a lovely lenticular slip too

I think the reason why she scared me so much is because I'd only just finished reading the novel which, at 12 years old, was a pretty terrifying experience, so seeing the film on VHS with a mate his babysitter scared the hell outta me, we also watched A Nightmare on Elm Street that night too, my mate had the coolest babysitter!

There's one particular scene that used to freak me out when I was younger... it's the opening sequence of The Most Dangerous Game (1932).

Firstly, seeing the shipwreck at the beginning really made me feel uncomfortable... back then, I didn't know it was a model... now I do know, and I still don't feel very well whilst watching the scene. It simply works.

Secondly, I was scared because of the huge door opener with that abominable creature.

Thirdly, the sound of the horn when the title comes up scared the sh*t out of me and still gives me goosebumps today.

I always stopped the VHS at that moment and never dared to continue the movie. Once I accidentally watched the beginning again (as there was another movie recorded on the cassette which I used to watch pretty often), and forced my dad to delete the VHS.

Why? I can't explain - but The Most Dangerous Game is one of my earliest Horror movie experiences. Today it's one of my favourite Horror movies.

Greetings!

Never seen that, I'm having a bit of a gothic spell at the minute so I'll add that to my never ending list of films to watch
