Hey I'm getting really old now so I agree with the old films being better! The j thing though, not so sure. I know this is blasphemy but I preferred the USA remake of The Ring than the original!!!

The last modern film I remember raving about was The Lovely Bones. It sent shivers down my spine.

The last modern horror film I raved about was I Saw the Devil. An incredible thriller/horror from Korea.

saw THE LOVELY BONES on Channel 4 a while back
didn't think much of it though
hard to believe it cost $65m!

lovely bones

I hated thought it was terrible and to much dream like sequences just for starters.
tyoe of film my wife woukd lovr and she hated it turned of after a while.

Then it grew and grew. Then it became a monster. Suddenly every horror film was a scapegout for society's ills

I quickly became disllussioned and walked away.

so....I dunno...maybe too old now...whatever...re-ignite that flame....it's all old hat now to me

Well I wasn't born until the very end of the VN era, so everything I know about it is just with research. Would've loved to have lived through it though.
