I heard that Jess Franco's "Al Otro Lado del Espejo" (The Other Side of the Mirror) will finally get a DVD release from the French company Artus. I've only seen the HORRIBLE hardcore porn version (titled The Obscene Mirror/The Mirror of Pleasure). The original film is about Anna whose father commits suicide and continues to haunt her from a mirror. He forces her to kill her suitors and the ending is tragic. The sex version is about Anna's lesbian SISTER who kills herself and haunts Anna while having sex with people in a mirror(?). This somehow causes Anna to kill her suitors.

I'm glad that original version finally has been restored because what I saw of the original footage was very well done but was sullied by the terrible porn inserts in the sex version.

Except that she is barely in this one, one of Franco's most boring titles from the early 70s in my view, such that I wouldn't even bother watching it again if someone gave me the Blu-ray for Christmas.

Yes, she is barely in it, but you get a wonderful shot of her beautiful ass.

That justifies the admission price already.

I'm really looking forward for Stephen Thrower's book on Franco, and hope the second volume doesn't take ages to be released...

I'd love to have the 7" that Strange Attractor is putting out along with the book, but it's a little too much, as I got it pre-ordered on Amazon for less than half of what the book+7" would cost me.
