Saw them support Cradle. I'll let that sit in for a wee moment. then you'll get the diatribe

Are we sitting comfortably then?

Mate had spare ticket to go and see COF, but ticket didn't mention any support etc.
Got to Glasgow and was pleased to see CD's name of the posters, they had always "been there", I even had an early single at one point (you bought anything you could get your hands on back then up here tbh), and they were great, very austere, dry ice, statuesque backing singer, the whole bit.
Then Cradle came on dressed like Cenobites (the leathers ...)
Sandblasting set.

Great tour wasn't it. Probably Cradle at their peak touring their best album.

Unfortunately for me, the last time I saw CoF was when the toured Dusk and her Embrace. Up until then I had seen them multiple times from catching them in a basement in Liverpool when they only had a demo tape, followed them around the North West quite a bit but was disappointed in Cruelty and the Beast and went cold them.

I never bought Midian until well after the fact and now I consider Cruelty one of their better albums but there you go, I was probably off listening to Joni Mitchell somewhere

(Not my copy, sadly that's long LONG lost)

I'll take your word for that D, only time I got to see them etc. To be honest, I haven't gone to that many "metal" gigs, so I always try and enjoy the overall experience. Smallish venue .... very hot twas ... Garage? I think so ...
