When I first heard this song in 1994, and it got to that flute section my mind literally exploded still one of my faves

Marduk-Memento-Mori-1-1.jpeg

Finally got to listen to the new Marduk album fully. I literally just finished the last song now I'm actually blown away every single track is brutal and so violent Mortuus sounds amazing so evil and full of hatred. It's not all just relentless blast beat there are some slower moments yeah slower but you know what I mean melodic moments of chaos

I am a big fan of Viktoria which is seen as a bad album in their discography but if you didn't like that album the new album is back to their previous best of straight forward hate filled Black Metal just how it should be.

Watched a couple of Kreator live dvd's recently. Headlining Wacken Open Air in 2011 and 2014. Bonus dvd's with 2012's Phantom Antichrist and 2017's Gods of Violence cd's.

Two terrific gigs from probably the best Thrash band out there and one who make as good a record now as they did during the 80's Thrash heyday.

Frontman Mille Petrozza is such a likable guy. Talking to the German crowd in English throughout the sets and having them create the wildest mosh pits i've ever seen. Half the crowd are running round in circles before launching into one another at top speed.

They certainly have the stage show too as you can see these pics from my tv screen. How these guys can headline 85,000 people in Europe but play Academy size venues in the UK is a ****ing mystery.
