I thought there were some good tracks on Cold Lake. Downtown Hanoi and Cherry Orchards were great.

If it were ever reissued which seems unlikely i'd snap it up straight away.

I'll get my coat.

As a stand alone album it may carry some merit, my dismay Dem was a band I had grown up with since having a Hellhammer tape demo changed their image and sound overnight and don't know why? It was very disappointing at the time and led to their downfall for years to come. They were so unique. I will have to give cold lake another listen as have not been there since its release.

I totally agree with you actually. They should have changed the band name or something. And yes they look ridiculous.

That look was dark and sinister at the time MTDS, looks over the top now granted, but the glam look is just a bizzare transformation, looks like they visited Gok Wan whilst he was on an acid trip.

Heh, this was a period where even Man o war did not look too out of place!!!

I've not listened to Amorphis for what is technically known as 'Donkeys' in fact the last album of theirs I listened to was Elegy, and I loved it, so I'm not sure why I didn't continue with their next, perhaps considering the point of time, I just didn't have enough money to buy all of the CDs I wanted especially since they were imports and cost £14 a pop - which was a lot of money back then.

Anyway, their latest album, Under the Red Cloud, had been suggested as one of the better metal albums of 2015 so I loaded up Spotify and what do you know, it's bloody great!

I'm the same with Amorphis. I have Eclipse, Silent Waters, Far from the Sun and Am Universum. All excellent yet i never caught up with them since. Yet i'll happily purchase albums by artists nowhere near as good as them. I recently put the new album in my wishlist to pick up shortly.
